Ordering from GVH

When submitting a request for quote or order, more information is key.

Finished Size?
Kind of Media? Gloss or Matte Finishes?
Mounted to a Substrate? Thickness of the Substrate?
Do you need multiple copies of one design, or several designs in the same size and kind?
For wall murals, an elevation drawing or photo of the wall is helpful in the quoting process.

How Long Will it Take?

Typically, once we have approval from you on a proof, production will take 3-5 business days. Projects with specialized hardware or construction, or if you require a physical printed proof, may take longer.

FILE SET UP

Panels, Posters, Banners and Labels

Files should be set up to 100% scale where possible, otherwise scales such as Half Size are preferred.

Image resolution 100dpi at actual size, 200dpi if your scale is half size.

  • If the image you are using isn’t naturally 100dpi or larger at the size you plan to print it, you can send it to us beforehand and we can run it through a fractals program to the size you need it, that can often result in better enlarging results.

Fonts included with the package or converted to outlines.

Include ¼” bleed on all four sides, your images or background color should extend into this area.

Call out any pantone colors that are color critical.

Packaged indesign files are preferred, however high quality pdf files including crop marks and bleed are acceptable.

Contour Cut Printed Vinyl

In addition to the rules above:

Include ¼” bleed around all cut paths where possible.

Raster images such as photos need a vector cut path in the file, create a spot color called "cut path" so we will not print the cut path color in production.

If your fonts have strokes to thicken them up or you have line art in the artwork, call it out and we’ll convert them to cut properly. Or you can outline stroke in Adobe Illustrator.

Packaged indesign or Illustrator files are preferred, however high quality pdf files including crop marks and bleed are acceptable.

Unprinted Cut Letters and Shapes from Colored Vinyl
